At a time when environmental concerns have been increasing, PALOMBAR and AEPGA have established it as a central point of action, creating an innovative project that aims at the transmission of the environment’s conservation to the young.

 

Both PALOMBAR and AEPGA are non-profit associations that take action in the north-eastern region of Trás-os-Montes, and that have worked conjointly to elaborate an environmental education activity programme which values the rural traditions, specially created for schools.

 

This is an interdisciplinary learning project, both theoretical and practical, that promotes the rediscovery of the country-side values, through open air initiatives that privilege contact with the locals, natural and cultural interpretative routes, animal handling and several other activities.
